"We were extremely lucky to have Charlotte and her team, Toadstool Tales, visit us last week to deliver an assembly that was followed up with workshops for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. EYFS and KS1 were read the story Time for Bed, Sleepyhead! and KS2 enjoyed the chapter from Broken Twigs: Farewell to Faerie Forest, 'Danger Lurking in the Dark'. Charlotte not only made the sessions very engaging for the pupils, but she very carefully linked national curriculum objectives to both sessions. The children were engrossed in the stories and created some wonderful work in the follow-up activities. It was extremely valuable for the children to listen to, ask questions and engage with a local author; they were inspired. Many children purchased one of Charlotte's books and have already expressed their enjoyment in reading them.
It was a pleasure to have Charlotte in school, and we are looking forward to planning in sessions for the next academic year. Thank you, Charlotte and Toadstool Tales."

"Charlotte and Felicity joined us for our World Book Day celebrations this year, helping to make the day truly memorable. Charlotte began by sharing her personal journey from a primary school teacher to author. This inspired children and sparked lots of discussion about resilience and perseverance. All of the children, from our toddlers in nursery through to Year 6, had a wonderful day engaging in workshops with Charlotte and Felicity. Their visit to Walford has inspired everyone and helped raise the profile of reading. Thank you for an unforgettable day!"

"Toadstool Tales' visit during World Book Day week was a fantastic way to inspire children from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with reading. Charlotte and Fliss adapted sessions to suit the needs of the children based on prior discussions and were able to personalise workshops to suit. Charlotte read a brand new, unpublished book to the EYFS and KS1 children and created an engaging task to follow on after. The KS2 children also had a sneak preview of a new book in the Twigs series and thoroughly engaged with the drama activity. The children clearly came away inspired and engaged during the sessions with answering and asking questions. It was brilliant that children were able to purchase books after school too! Thoroughly recommend having Toadstool Tales to facilitate a workshop! Thank you!"
